Moving off WordPress after 13 years

daryxborn.com started in January 2012 as "my digital place". It was a WordPress blog for game scores, sunsets, Hawaii photos and the odd rant about restaurants that turn into clubs at 10 p.m. The last post was Grey's baseball game in April 2013. Then life, kids and a lot of software happened.

It's back, and this time it runs on the same platform I build at work. The pages are written in my own workspace and published to the open web as a HypeSite. This blog comes from the same place I draft everything else.

What's here now

• Projects. What I'm building, at work and at the kitchen table, starting with Cloys, the coach that runs my day.
• Ask me. Send a question about insurance, historical societies, alternative history, the CIA reading list or anything else. I answer the good ones in public on the Answers page.
• The archive. All the old posts are still here, moved over as they were. Grey still went 0-for-0 with two walks.

Why "born"

The name is a nod to Lyrics Born. I've been daryxborn online for a long time, and the "born" came from him.

The rule for this place

Work hard and be nice. That's it.

More soon: notes on AI agents that ship their own code, the history rabbit holes I keep falling into, and the LoRa pet the kids keep losing in the backyard.
